Amity

Lore

Crimson Coast

The Amity left England bound for the West Indies, but she never arrived. If this is the same ship, it's a pretty safe bet that she doesn't have the same crew. (Linked to Thomas Tew)

Fire & Steel

The only ship Tew ever used, the Amity traveled the Pirate Round with him twice before her final battle, in which she was taken by a 25-ship Mughal convoy and destroyed. (Linked to Thomas Tew)

Trivia

In 1692, Captain Thomas Tew (a Privateer who later became a Pirate) obtained a letter of marque from the governor of Bermuda. Various Bermudan backers provided him with a vessel: the seventy-ton sloop Amity, armed with eight guns and crewed by forty-six officers and men. By 1694, Tew paid off the owners of the Amity, who recouped fourteen times the value of the vessel.
