Welcome to Pirates CSG Lore!

This is a fan-made wiki site that focuses on the flavor text and lore for the Pirates Constructible Strategy Game (Pirates CSG), a now-discontinued "pocket model" strategy game produced by WizKids. The game featured constructible ships, forts, sea monsters, etc. to be used in a tabletop game that simulated naval battles.

Although no longer officially in print, this game enjoys a small, dedicated fan base of players and collectors. As such, there are several great resources for those interested in getting into the game. One of the best places to start is Pirates with Ben, an impressively comprehensive fansite for the game that includes just about anything you may want to know about the history of the game, how & where to play, tips for collecting, fan-made custom materials, and much more. Ben (a.k.a. a7xfanben) also has a YouTube channel with lots of great content about Pirates CSG.

Other sites not made by fans that might be helpful include the game's Wikipedia page, as well as the current official page by WizKids, which now only features a card game based on the world of the CSG.

One thing that I've noticed, however, is that there is very little information about the "lore" of this game, which is contained in the flavor text on the cards themselves. Thankfully, all of that is preserved on the incredible master spreadsheet on Ben's website. Thanks, Ben! You're amazing! :D

The purpose of this lore wiki is to serve as a comprehensive, user-friendly resource for everything related to the lore of Pirates CSG. Here, "lore" is defined as anything described and revealed in flavor text and stories written for this game (basically, anything under the "Flavor Text" columns in the master spreadsheet). That is the official lore of Pirates CSG. I plan to include fan-made stories at a later time, but those will be differentiated here as "fan-made." Some entries will include "trivia," which shows notes found on Ben's master spreadsheet that I thought provided some interesting context to the entry overall. This "trivia" is not intended to be considered "official lore" for this setting.
